Mr. Wade’s scholarly writing includes articles for Literature in Performance (now Text and Performance Quarterly), Theatre Annual, and Communication (Journal of the Pacific Communication Association. He edited two numbers of Literature in Performance and is a former associate editor of Text and Performance Quarterly.
He has adapted for the stage three works of non-dramatic literature: The Adventures of Jonathon Corncob (an anonymous American Revolutionary War satire), Steven Millhauser’s novella Enchanted Night, and W.N.P. Barbellion’s journals under the title Barbellion, or The Journal of a Disappointed Man. This last play has been called
