For 40 years Alan Wade taught at The George Washington University, Washington, DC, first in the field of Speech Communication, then in Theatre.  Retired in the spring of 2017, his teaching included voice and diction, public speaking, various acting courses, directing for the theatre, scriptwriting for film and television, and a freshman seminar in Shakespeare.

 

Mr. Wade has lectured at The Meishi Film Academy, Chongqing University, Chongqing, China; Richmond University, London, England; The University of Sussex, Brighton, England.

 

He is a former co-director of the university’s Teaching Center, founding director of The Dean’s Scholars in Shakespeare, and a former chair of the Department of Theatre & Dance.
