For 30 years Alan Wade has taught at The George Washington University, Washington, DC, first in the field of Speech Communication, then in Theatre.  His teaching has included voice and diction, public speaking, various acting courses, directing for the theatre, scriptwriting for film and television, and a freshman seminar in Shakespeare.

Mr. Wade has lectured at Richmond University, London, England and The University of Sussex, Brighton, England.

He is a former co-director of the university’s Teaching Center and a former chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance
